50-minute appointments

Available in person in Tweed Heads South or by secure telehealth across Australia.

Medicare rebates may apply where the applicable Medicare eligibility and referral requirements are met. Heartland Health does not bulk bill, and payment is due at the time of the appointment.

Psychological assessment

Private fee

ADHD, autism, learning, cognitive, behavioural, emotional, social and other psychological assessment pathways. Child and adolescent assessment is conducted in person only; some parts of adult assessment may be available by secure telehealth.

Assessment fees vary by pathway and are outlined on the Fees & Funding page. Booking an assessment starts with an initial interview to understand your needs and determine the most appropriate assessment pathway. For child assessments, this first appointment is often with parents or caregivers only.

This website is not used for clinical intake. Bookings and intake are completed through the practice’s secure practice-management system, and information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy and professional obligations. Read the Privacy Policy.

Phone and email are available for enquiries and administrative matters. Email can also be used for reasonable care-related communication. The secure client portal can be used where relevant once someone is a client.

Technology used in the practice

Heartland Health may use AI-assisted technology to support clinical and administrative work, including clinical notes, assessment documentation, reports, correspondence and treatment or support planning. AI-assisted technology does not replace professional psychological judgement, and final clinical documentation is reviewed and edited before it is adopted or relied upon.

Telehealth

Secure telehealth appointments are available across Australia, including for people living a long way from suitable psychological services. Suitability is discussed on the Telehealth & Digital Services page. Appointments are scheduled in AEST/AEDT – Sydney time.

Telehealth appointments take place through the healthdirect Video Call system. Appointment details are sent in advance — log in shortly before your appointment time and you will enter the Heartland Health video call waiting room. Telehealth log in.
